Work experience at Happicabs was an incredible experience which I would recommend to anyone. In a week I was able to get an overview of all areas in the business, for example, I had covered Marketing, Operations, Strategies and many more Areas.
On my first day at the company, I covered the history of the business and sat in a webinar about how Uber bought Autocab and what this means for the taxi industry.
On the weekend, I spent time with the office manager. I was listening to how he would answer calls and the correct questions to ask the customer. This gave me great insight into how to give great customer service while keeping track of the time, so they don’t miss calls.
On the following Monday and Tuesday, I had covered reporting. This gave me a chance to look at reports and see where the business was doing well and what they could improve on. I was also able to look at the review's customers give to the service Happicabs provide.
On Wednesday and Thursday, I had covered marketing with the marketing manager. I had learnt how to keep customers interested in the business and how to keep them informed in changes in the business, for example, the changes caused by COVID-19. I was also able to see how many people were engaging with the posts and from this, we would adapt our future posts.
Overall, the experience was very helpful, and I was able to see the background of the business which customers don’t see. I would recommend this to anyone who needs work experience.
